The Hampshire Heavies is powered by the community spirit and generous donations of its members. It simply wouldn't be alive and kicking in its current form without both of these things.
Over the last 2 years and 8 months community members, from occasional players to @H|H regulars to |H|H| members and admins, have contributed over £3800 to cover the costs our dedicated server, domains, TF2 servers, BC2 servers and voip. (Monthly running costs are approx. £148)
We think donors deserve recognition and have introduced a new tag on the forum and a star on the TF2 servers. Plus a couple of little game chat features, personalised colour chat and greeting. To set these features, donors can access a menu by typing !don whilst on our TF2 servers.
The star on TF2 only appears above a donors head in set-up time and after a round has ended.
If you have donated and would prefer not to have the star, then you can turn it off in your user settings.
Hampshire Heavies featured on another official TF2 map
Slightly old news, but definitely worth a mention. The Hampshire Heavies have been featured on a second official TF2 map, cp_freight_final1. You can find the 'Hampshire's Heavy Lifting Equipment' poster in the first blue forward spawn.
Dogfighter Closed Beta - |H|H| Community Beta Keys
The Hampshire Heavies are currently involved in a closed beta of Dogfighter, an aerial combat game with a variety of game modes from Dark Water Studios.
We have 150 Beta Keys to give away to any one in the HH Community who wants to try this game out and is prepared to give feedback.
